Hi Julius,
That directory was removed because it *completely* breaks the ability to
change the theme to anything else.
Have you tried installing kdmtheme and selecting the Kubuntu theme from
the Control Center?

It seems I'm still not able to sign up to Bugzilla. I don't get the sign
up e-mail when I fill in my address.
The reason the Kubuntu KDM theme doesn't show, is because the directory
kdm-settings in the source and when installed /etc/default/kdm.d is
missing from kubuntu-default-settings-kde3. Is there a reason this was
removed? It would be nice if it could be added back, so the Kubuntu
theme in KDM would work again.
