I assume the latter as we see tdm_greet being
triggered, but it is not clear

Nothing evident to me. More than two minutes elapse between "startup
finished",
and next journal entry, for dbus-daemon[570]: [system] Activating service
name='org.trinity....
Is CPU at 100%? Is it at 0%? anything else worth of notice during the waiting?
There isn't anything so drastic in R14.1.0 that would/should cause such a long wait,
so maybe the problem is somewhere else?
What happens if you start a session without tdm but using startx? or using a different dm
instead?
