Applet from Trinity 3.5.13.x is incompatible with
NetworkManager 9.x.

I just realized I'm not really certain what you meant by "Trinity applet for
NetworkManager"? Did you mean that nm-applet (that is NetworkManager aplet for Gnome)
is no longer compatible with Trinity? Or did you meant that KNetworkManager is no longer
compatible with Trinity?
