I'm considering the possibility of changing to a

Ideally, it should be easy to install using an existing separate /home
partition, have good multimedia support, and work well with TDE. Does

I don't remember how many of these installations I have, but probably two, the
first having originally been configured some time before these repos existed,
using the Leap repos. I have seven openSUSE 42.3 installations using TDE, and
one with 15.0b using 42.3 repos (not recommended).
Optimal multimedia support on all openSUSE versions requires the unofficial
Packman and libdvdcss2 repos be configured:
