This may be off topic. It looks like the successor to Leap 15.6 will be Leap 16.0:

and it will be based on the Adaptable Linux Platform (ALP):
https://en.opensuse.org/Features_16.0
The website states that Leap 16.0 will have a non-immutable version, although ALP does contain a "minimal, immutable operating system". I just wonder whether ALP will still be based on RPM.
It may be too early to worry about it as Leap 16.0 will not be available until at least fall 2025.
