Hi
I just got an Acer notebook 5334-2598, it has a boardcom
I think you mean Broadcom,
correct? Is this under Ubuntu or another
distribution? Ubuntu has an automatic tool (jockey-gtk) to install any
proprietary drivers for devices present on your system.
wireless device,
in
mandriva the module is "wl", I was unable to find any native driver. I
tried
the usual routes of firmware cutter etc, and while the wl module loaded
with
modprobe, and the device was seen as eth1, it still didn't connect.
Is there a how to, so I can compare notes?
It's a bit dated, but there is a
howto for Ubuntu here:

Thanks in advance to all...
