Hello
Since the previous report of 28 March, is included wide set of additional
patches (and some other packages), and I would like to present the
current status. Because the list is long, I'll first list of mistakes
that I would like to have repaired, but not yet fixed.
In my pad, remains:
#615 KSVG shows only black previews
#744 Some built-in desktop backgrounds don't work
#812 krdc crashes with SIGABRT
#859 Kaffeine does not block screensaver
#922 when logging out with unsaved file, trinity does not ask to save it
(have workaround)
Using Slávek's patched debs in Squeeze for some time here, applied (with
X closed) using apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade. Just done the
latest, 120MB here. Slow download. A little apprehensive as 3.5.13 is my
main desktop system but all seems good.
Many serious (for me) bugs seem fixed, especially kdesu and kaffeine.
One in particular remains, still can't use a zenity "radiolist",
suspected gtk-qt engine problem. Custom scripts using "radiolist" must
be hacked to use "checklist" instead.

As these patched debs are apparently "unofficial", where should bug
reports go?

I am testing all upgrades in VirtualBox.
The last ' Slávek' patches:
1. I no longer have any user images on the TDE login screen.
2. Had a hard freeze, could not ssh into box to gracefully shut or restart TDE.
3.Initially my nfs mount stopped working, works after powering down the vm from
#2.
I am using 3.5.12 for my main workstation, upgrades to 3.5.13 have never gone
smoothly here, smooth as in I am used to how Debian stable works.
