Whether its a file download or a picture.. its goes boom. It did this
sometimes when I ran TDE x.x..12 in ubuntu 10.10 but not that often. Now
its all the time.
Has anyone encountered this issue as well?
It is probably an issue related to our kgtk-wrapper OR the qt-gtk-engine. I
have had similar issues before.
Try removing the kgtk package. It is: kgtk-qt3-trinity. that will remove
the trinity dialogs for gtk apps. You won't have native dialog, but you
won't crash.
If you could get a backtrace from the kcrash handler, we would be able to
debug the problem and get it resolved for R14.
