I suppose the reason why people try to install the Intrepid version of KDE3 in Karmic is that http://apt.pearsoncomputing.net/install.html does not mention the special Karmic repository. Is this intended because it might be unstable or did you just forget to update the page?

Remove all references to Intrepid or Jaunty.

getting a issue when trying to install kde 3 on 9.10. (fresh install 9.10 with gnome) added the repos listed for 9.04 get errors when trying to install the kubuntu-desktop-kde3 package

When i installed karmic some weak ago i first tried whit karmic repo and no luck as it then did conflict whit kde4 but jaunty/intrepid repo is working fine for me whit karmic repo to, so i have all 3 repos active for karmic and no bad dependency stuff..
