what version of TDE are you using?
I'm on R14.0.9 PSB.
There were various issues in KMix up to R14.0.8
and what you described is not so unfamiliar to me.
Yes, I reported at least one bug
related to KMix. Thanks to the fixes that were pushed to R14.0.9 a few weeks ago
all the PulseAudio-KMix interaction issues on my laptop have been resolved. Now I'm
configuring a new desktop PC
and have run into problems I described in my previous email. I have some ideas for
debugging and a potential
workaround, but I need to find the time to see whether any of my ideas actually work. I
think my biggest concern
right now is that if I uninstall PulseAudio I don't get any sound at all (e.g. Amarok
complains no output was
detected, as if ALSA was not available) - this is weird and something I have not run into
in the past.
