Synaptic is reporting a broken package, but the instructions as to
how to proceed in this situation are exceedingly unclear.
Anyway. Something is obviously wrong, and it appears to be a TDE
packaging error of some kind and I thought I should post here to put
the issue before people who understand this a lot better than I do.

I also got that same message, and now I am stuck because of broken
packages held.
So I tried again just now since the broken package line disappeared, but
it got back into that state again so I repeated the install click
because the version was identical, and tde-base went in and fixed it
this time, but dpkg went over all 85 updates the second time too.
Wierd. Now I'll reboot because it wanted to.
