Sorry, I made a mistake (not cd'ing to bin) and launched the same FZ
3.14.0 from my system path all time.
The real situation is:
- The last version that supports drops from Konqueror is 3.8.1
- All later versions don't allow dropping from Konqueror.
- Now the strange thing: I still can drop into new FileZilla from e.g.
Firefox (when in file:// mode).
I don't know where is the code responsible for this located, in FZ or
in Konqueror.

FileZilla 3.14.0, there was also 3.9.0.5 from Debian's repository -
the same thing.
I can drag to Firefox/PaleMoon, LibreOffice and even Wine app (wow! At
last it works!).
I tried 3.4, 3.5, 3.7 - the same thing.
Maybe Debian Jessie's related thing?

I can drag to Firefox and to Filezilla 3.6.0.2. Linux Mint, TDE
14.0.2
Maybe it depends on the version of Filezilla. I have 3.5.3.
While we are at it, Debian 7.9.
