IMO, rpm is far too foundational to be replaced. If SUSE were to do that, it might
as well become yet another fork/spin of Debian, but with BTRFS and snapshotting by
default.
From my POV, ALP will remain considered vaporware at least through the end of this
coming summer. Leap will continue for at least 2 more Thanksgivings.
