Synaptic seems to want a root pw in its run requestor, but root
doesn't have pw, everything is done with sudo or sudo-like such as
gksudo.
How can I fix the for tde so its happy with the sudo pw?
On Debian I must edit the menu to run "tdesu synaptic". There is
a "tdesudo-trinity" showing in synaptic, so I would guess "tdesudo
synaptic" should do the trick.
Can't see what sudo brings over su however, as
anyone getting your
sudo password just has to sudo passwd root to create a root password.

I don't get it all that well either, but thats how debian has done it for
about a decade now.
