Don't you have the "Install New Themes" button at the bottom of the list of themes in Theme Manager?
This one didn't seem to work for me when I tried to do it prior to telling Nicolas. The Theme installer couldn't find the download. I haven't yet investigated why, but shall do so later and report back.
Well, I have to admit I'd never done it before. I just tried a few from kde-look.org, and found that many are in formats that don't work as is, but need to be compiled or something. Those that download as a theme file with .kth extension seem to work, however.
Thanks - hadn't got as far as discovering that! I think I'll stick to backgrounds! I've obviously been lucky - but when you think how diverse the origins of that artwork are, it's no wonder that it is not totally consistent.
(...but some of them are rather hideous, and defeat the purpose of a simple, functional desktop.)
Just a caution repeated from the help file: If you have any customizations you want to save, be sure to create a theme to save them before changing to another theme.
