the easy way to get RID of anything kde4 ?
this is what I did - but it's not for the faint hearted:
# apt-get purge $(dpkg -l | awk '{print $2}'|grep '^plasma-')
# apt-get purge $(dpkg -l | awk '{print
$2}'|grep '^libnepomuk-')
also that got rid of some virtuoso packages..
# apt-get purge $(dpkg -l | awk '{print
$2}'|grep '^strigi-')
nice!
# apt-get purge $(dpkg -l | awk '{print
$2}'|grep '^kde4-')
# apt-get purge $(dpkg -l | awk '{print $2}'|grep '^kde4-')
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.
Now each of this lines gives you a bunch of packages,
that will also be
removed. Keep an eye on them, there might be some packages you'd like and
need to reinstall later from trinity repository.
But first check, that you get synaptic running:-)
as normal user, it now works.. weird, and it asks for the user password,
NOT root..
