That screenshot looks almost exactly like the notebook I just built for the
SO with MX19 and TDE. Even down to the background image! Wherefore you
call it outdated?
If I’d have found that before MX18, I would have tried it. Well, no, it’s
most likely systemd, so I guess not.
I wish I knew enough about {packaging?} to create an install .iso built of
MX and TDE. Then again, maybe not, MX “does not support TDE” so the best
parts (MX Package Installer) you have to switch to Xfce for some packages
(virtualbox) to run/install correctly.

Some of us doth like the retro look and feel; maybe because it feels like
home, better times we remember, when things made more sense.
We were totally deluded, of course, but it gave us comfort to contemplate old
things, or things that look old. And it still doth give us comfort.
