Interesting. I got it installed but it wouldn't find my wifi interface.
The manual setup I already understood from past experience using a laptop
without X (back in the days of Etch). Of course, it matters not what I can
do for myself, but this machine is a demo model for Linux newbies
migrating from Windows. I'm not willing to put them through manual wifi
config that way. I suppose I should have mentioned that in my initial
whine ;-)
