Maybe this is related to the bug with the icon and slider that don't update
properly....
it's global shortcuts for volume up and down
that are bugged.
open kmix > mixer > Settings > configure global shortcuts
assign whatever to volume up and down. they doesn't work.
As reported by me and others it works perfectly.
