YES! As in the bug report, I edited
/usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.udisks.policy
and set the section '<action
id="org.freedesktop.udisks.filesystem-mount">' to
be '<allow_any>yes</allow_any>' and
'<allow_active>yes</allow_active>'
and now it works as advertised. Thank you.
