In R14 on Wheezy /opt/trinity/bin/kwrite is in package kate-trinity. It should be in every TDE installation because
kate-trinity is required
by tdebase-trinity.
There does seem to be a problem with presenting TDE applications in
Debian menus. I'm not sure exactly where the bug lies.
I (almost) never use the menu. And in this case it is Mint. (All the other
boxen I administer are running Wheezy and TDE 13.5.13.2, and there is no
problem.)
