It's a "feature" of later Wheezy versions of apt-get. Somebody decided that Debian needed to be "cleaned up" every time you install something, and based on researching this on Debian messageboards, the majority insist on believing this is a good idea. Tough luck for me I guess.
So, for example, if I try to upgrade my totally obsolete Iceweasel or Firefox, apt-get will insist on removing Trinity, Xorg and countless other vitally important items. In fact, I can't install or upgrade anything now.
If you mix repositories, never use apt-get. run aptitude and look what exactly causes this, because its most likely some manually installed package from 3-rd party/unstable that has higher priority in apt-get conflict resolution logic than auto installed packages (including trinity and Xorg). Look for a broken pacakges in aptitude and find a root source for conflict, than uninstall/hold it.
