imaping an existing kmail maild atabase

Greetings all; There are times when I would find it expedient to be able to run kmail on one of the other machines I have trinity installed on, which isn't all of them. How hard would it be to setup a server on this machine, which has R14.0.2 on it, all working as a pop client from 2 external mail accounts I have, referencing the nominally 12Gb of an email corpus here, so I could access it from a kmail session on another machine, still on my local network?
