Hallo Werner,
then you have evtl. missed to also install
kcontrol-trinity (which will
allow you configure kdm from kontrolcenter)
the Control Center is installed, and I
used it quite often.
sudo killall X
says:
X: Kein Prozess gefunden
then from text-console, sudo /opt/trinity/bin/kdm.
no result.
For all: How do your login windows look like?
