That is what I did (or perhaps was the default) and it works like a charm. Seems pretty much that double-clicking on files
in konqueror almost
always default to embedded viewing rather than external tools. While
this behavior can be changed for individual mime types, can this
behavior be change globally?
Changing every mime type to open in an external tool is a lot of
drudgery.
