Have you tried creating a new user and see if the problem still occurs?

That menu has "Ctrl+T" next to the "Open Terminal Here" option.
Indeed,
when all applications are minimized and the Desktop screen is visible,
Ctrl+T launches Firefox.
Does that happen to you too?
