right now I've updated Slax with Trinity to
version 9.5 along with
the final TDE R14.0.5. In addition, I added the
xserver-xorg-video-intel package, which should be useful if you have
a built-in Intel graphics card. You can download at the usual address
- see wiki page:

I have many different varieties of Intel gfx here (0 laptops, so 0
Optimus; Kaby Lake HD Graphics 630 latest). In none newer than about 11
years old do I install xserver-xorg-video-intel. All work great with
the modesetting driver contained within the Xorg server since it was
migrated into server in version 1.17.x.

With the Xorg intel driver package installed, the newer technology
modesetting driver will not be used unless manually configured.
On several machines, I met that Slax was unable to run Xserver because he
lacked the Intel driver. After installing the package manually, Xserver
was functional on these machines. That's why I added the package.
If someone will notice that the presence of the package is causing
problems, please do not hesitate to provide feedback.
Note: Yes, number in subject was wrong. It should be 9.5.
Cheers
