kdebase option --with-pam (use it?)

All, What is the current thinking of compiling kdebase '--with-pam'? The README lists the option: `--with-pam[=ARG]' enable support for PAM: ARG=[yes|no|service name] According to the README, the --with designation implies that it is OFF by default. Is this functionality desired in trinity? I ask, because I don't know whether it is enabled on my current kde3 install, but if it is useful, I want it :) What say the gurus? -- David C.
