tderandrtray provides an easy to use interface for xrandr. It uses xrandr behind the scenes. Cheers
Thanks. It has the advantage over xrandr that I can switch from one resolution to another.
However I don't seem to be able to set tderandrtray to always start at anything but maximum resolution (3000x2000). I've tried to do something with profiles but I get weird colours when I try to activate a profile...
xrandr always works for me for selecting alternate resolutions, though my single display maximum is 2560x1440. My xrandr scripts go in /etc/X11/*, where exactly depending on distro.
