You may well have to try several OS's before you get one that does
what you want.
But why not try actually installing them rather than installing
software on a running live CD? It would give a much more
satisfactory picture, and wouldn't take long. I reckon around half
an hour for a basic install of an OS. And a little longer to install
other bits.
