(I'm curious as to why you wanted to know this when you're clearly not a Gentoo user.)
I used Gentoo heavily 10 or 14 years ago, gave it a rest for some years, and now have a machine with _massive_ CPU power [and RAM to match], so in some sense I "might as well use it". ;-)
