All,
I have put a significant amount of work into the QuickBuild system over
the past week in an attempt to stabilize it and increase performance.
While I am aware that there were some outages in random components (most
notably the PPA mirror redirects) while I was doing this, all issues
should be resolved at this point.
As of this writing four build machines are online, one for each
architecture. As we have reached the chiller fund goal (see prior
messages) the remaining x86/amd64 build machines will be brought back
online over the next couple weeks.
Please let me know what you think, and definitely let me know if anything
is still malfunctioning!
Tim
All,
in the last couple of days, Amarok crashes at startup with a SIGABRT error.
Before I open a bug report on it, has anyone experienced the same problem?
I am using the latest sources on a fresh new build?
Cheers

Hi guys,
after a successful move I have finally setup my server again. It
should be available immediately or dns might take a while for your dns
server to propagate

Hi,
I am currently re-working some TDE graphic items.
Most of the time, these are in /opt/trinity/apps/(name_of_the app)/pics/
But for some of them (KPPP and some parts of TDE Control Center), I can change the picture, launch the app and I still see the old picture. Even after rebooting, the old picture is still there.
So, is there a way to completely flush TDE graphic cache, without having to create a new ''user'' each time to try it?
Thank you very much for your efforts on TDE!

Hi everybody,
just thought about giving an update of where we are with the development of v14.0.0.
Back in March we made a list of bugs to fix before the next release. Such list was made up of a total of 115 bugs (31 of which "conditional" ones).
The list has grown a little bit to a total of 123 bugs and so far we have solved 78 of them (approx 63%), plus some more (approx 10) that we didn't add to the list even if they should have been.
It's taking longer than expected, but we all have just spare time for TDE and we are trying our best. Even if slowly, we are step-by-step edging towards finalizing v14.0.0.
How long more will it take? Can't give a precise answer, but based on the experience so far I would say between 3 to 5 months to get to the bottom of that list and be ready for the first release candidate.
As usual, you can keep up with the current development status either:
- on bugszilla bug 2014 (http://bugs.pearsoncomputing.net/show_bug.cgi?id=2014)
- or on the TDE etherpad (http://trinity.etherpad.trinitydesktop.org/39)

Hi all,
during the last build filelight on Debian 8 (Jessie), I came across a serious
problem with Docbook - catalogs in SGML format is no longer supported. So I
prepared a XML version of catalogs. Please, before I'll push the patch, test
it on other distributions.
See bug 2077:

Thanks,

having a look around to see if I could get packages for mageia 3 or
mageia 4, I found a very old :
http://www.trinitydesktop.org/wiki/bin/view/Documentation/MandrivaBinaryIns…
mageia was mandriva years ago, so you re probably mostly ready to
provide packages for mageia, but this old mandriva repo is probably
not working "as is" with latest mageia
I think quite a few mageia users could be happy to have a kde3 revived
desktop, just like I am, and i d be willing to help you for mageia
testing and packaging
( mageia is still a very old redhat fork , using rpm packages )

Dear all,
in bug 2074 Alex has proposed a new image for the TDE Classic menu sidebar for v14.0.0.
Before pushing it to GIT, I would like to hear your thoughts on the new look.
Personally I think it's great and more in style with the changes already made to KPersonalizer and the new default splash screen.
I have attached a sample image of what a new menu looks like.
Cheers
Michele
Hi all!
Is there somewhere a little howto or working example code on how to get started with pykdeextensions on trinity?
