Best to holler at him. Regarding CPLUS_INCLUDE_PATH, we had a discussion about that variable a very long time ago. Search the mail archives. We discovered that variable caused problems. Now, that was a very long time ago and Trinity has evolved in many ways since then, but I still unset the variable when I run my build scripts. BTW, the build notes wiki hasn't been reviewed by a newcomer in a long time. Please offer improvements and critiques. :-) Darrell

I grepped the R14 sources. Not too much to change. tde-i18n po files will be the biggest patch. I vote yes, rename them. :-) Darrell

Hi everybody, I'm working on the fix package rename-meta. During this time, I came across several rename that package expected, but has not yet been made. Some are obvious, but the two I would like to consult: + kdepasswd => tdepasswd + libsmokekde => libsmoketde It also offers yet another renaming: + libsmokeqt => libsmoketqt What is your opinion? Problem with zlib.h while compiling

Hello list Thanks for zombiefying kde3, I really miss it. Since I didn't find a recommended compilation order, I began with dependencies/qt3 where I'm getting the following error: ....... -o .obj/release-shared/qpngio.o kernel/qpngio.cpp In file included from /usr/include/png.h:534:0, from kernel/qpngio.cpp:48: /usr/include/zlib.h:86:5: error: ‘z_const’ does not name a type /usr/include/zlib.h:94:5: error: ‘z_const’ does not name a type /usr/include/zlib.h:1025:29: error: ‘z_const’ has not been declared /usr/include/zlib.h:1025:29: error: two or more data types in declaration of ‘parameter’ /usr/include/zlib.h:1349:32: error: expected initializer before ‘Z_ARG’ /usr/include/zlib.h:1673:5: error: ‘z_off64_t’ does not name a type /usr/include/zlib.h:1748:15: error: ‘z_crc_t’ does not name a type /usr/include/zlib.h:1758:44: error: expected initializer before ‘Z_ARG’ make[2]: *** [.obj/release-shared/qpngio.o] Error 1 The most I could find about it was this bug than on one cares about: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=707537 I'm using Debian/testing and the precompiled packages for Stable and kubuntu didn't work because of dependencies and stuff (I only tried a few though). Sleep/suspend with Trinity on a laptop

What is an appropriate Trinity method way to invoke sleep/suspend- to-ram on a laptop? Through the system acpi, the laptop already suspends when I close the lid. I have a Thinkpad T400 and I would like to assign the Fn- F4 keys to invoke sleep/suspend without closing the lid and to resume. I don't see a way to do that in klaptop. Thanks. Darrell
