As a avid musician who runs a amateur studio, this is not a useful piece of
software in the Linux Pro Audio community. Currently JACK is the #1
interface for sound programs and without Jack Support, I don't think it is
that useful. If you think of Jack as the "pipes and plumbing", notedit would
be a faucet that isn't connected to any pipes.
Not all people are professionals who use jack engine. Some people just want
to compose a short melody or to teach notes their children (this also may be the case of
a school class).
