Hello,
I think another thing on all of our minds should be towards dealing with
the problems related to sudo. As we know not all distros support it, and
also removing sudo in cases can remove the entire trinity install, wreak
havoc and other terrible things.
Do we have a plan for this? Tim what needs to be done?

I was curious if anyone has run into this odd situation...
I have Ubuntu and Kubuntu, and when I install TDE some parts in the
systemsettings panel wont work properly, but when I install TDE on its
own, those parts work. So I know its an issue with the other desktops
"stealing" control is all. But this is my oddity.. I decided to see what
Debian is about right. I installed it, and then I installed TDE. For
some reason the systemsettings program didnt download. No biggie I found
it in the repositories and installed it. But then I found that several
options that should be in there are not. For simplicities sake I will
name them off as a list:
1. Disks and Filesystems
2. User management
3. WINE configurator
4. System services
I was wondering if there is a way to like, bring those modules in? I
havent ever seen them just not be there before. Could it be an issue
with Debian installing GNOME?
Trinity on Fedora 16. I installed kpowersave and when I run it I got
following error:
kpowersave: error while loading shared libraries:
libkdeinit_kpowersave.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file
or directory
Any help?
TIA

But it's the only way to run Natty.
Sigh.
Looks like a bunch of packages are now tde* instead of kde3* ... The apt-get update/dist-upgrade fails with lots of stuff like this:
tdebase-trinity : Depends: tdebase-trinity-bin (>= 4:3.5.14-0ubuntu0+r407+pr8~natty) but it is not installed
Depends: tdebase-data-trinity (>= 4:3.5.14-0ubuntu0+r407+pr8~natty) but it is not installed
Depends: tdebase-kio-plugins-trinity (>= 4:3.5.14-0ubuntu0+r407+pr8~natty) but it is not installed
Depends: tdeprint-trinity (>= 4:3.5.14-0ubuntu0+r407+pr8~natty) but it is not installed
Depends: twin-trinity (>= 4:3.5.14-0ubuntu0+r407+pr8~natty) but it is not installed
Recommends: tdebase-runtime-data-common-trinity but it is not installed
I tried to install all that I could see that was missing:
sudo apt-get install tdelibs4c2a-trinity tdelibs-data-trinity libtdepim1a-trinity tdebase-data-trinity tdebase-trinity-bin tdeprint-trinity tdebase-kio-plugins-trinity twin-trinity tdebase-runtime-data-common-trinity
but get this:

Naturally, TDE won't load after a reboot so I'm stuck in Gnome hell ...
Help?
Surely it's just a matter of removing X and installing Y, but what do those variables resolve to?

Hi,
I use Trinity under Centos 5.7 at work and Ubuntu 11.10 at home.
I noticed some problems with konqueror in file management profile:
1) Both on Ubuntu and Centos, when I click on System icon sidebar I get this
message:
Cannot find parent item $( kxdglauncher --getpath --xdgname DOCUMENTS ) in the
tree. Internal error.
2) On Ubuntu only some menu items are missing:
- menu "Go" is missing
- menu "Window" is missing
- "Open terminal" is missing in menu "Tools"
I wonder if these are bugs or trouble in my configurations. By the way, is it
possible to submit bugs in bugs tracker system ?
