I have a problem when i create a directory on my desktop i can't open it. I
must choose konqueror to make it.
I would like directory open with konqueror for all users.

Hello everybody,
I always have a window "ksysgard" in my session. I noticed something that
looks like a bug: the system consumes "abnormally", but not always. I was not
able to cause the problem for sure. I am relatively sure it's related to
KMail. Once opened and closed KMail. The only window "KSysgard" is open.
It's strange because while preparing this e-mail, I re-opened KMail and opened
Kate. Ksysgard was hidden. Deciding to watch the "consumption" while writing
in kate, I de-masked Ksysgard: After this simple operation, consumption is
re-lowered to a "normal" level ...
Comments on the attached picture:
The vertical lines are spaced 60 seconds (1 sample per second)
The horizontal lines are spaced 5%
The left side (96% CPU load) represents the opening of the session,
The following peaks represent the closure of all the windows and then opening
and closing KMail
Most of the picture represents this abnormal consumption
On the left, back to "normal" situation.
I place this mail "users" list, because I dont want to repport a minor bug, if
I'm the only one to see that. To you to confirm or deny...
System kubuntu 10.10-trinity-enterprise (86x_64)
Good luck to everyone,
Patrick
Hi,
I wanned fix bug number 690 and get rid of high cpu usage during kdm
login screen. So I first tried daily-build and when I get know, that
it's not stable for daily use i downgrade to Slavek's pathed 3.5.13
(http://trinity-users.pearsoncomputing.net/?0::2776).
In both case, there shoul be that bug fixed. However, problem seems to
be still there (on my coputer) and as a bonus I get another one. When
there is "Press ctrl+alt+delete" window there, I can try keep pressing
these keys, but windows is still there and I can log in.
Any advise? How to debug that?
Can I reopen this bug?
Regards
Jirka
I am about to install Trinity on Squeeze (Debian 6.0.4) for a client. I have
a complete copy of /home on the old version: Lenny (Debian 5). The end of
security support for Lenny precipitated this.
I am anxious about settings and data, and am hoping that TDE has reached the
stage where it is truly usable by the non-expert user. My husband was due to
be the guinea-pig, poor man, but was using LXDE during the mirror problems
and opted to stay where he was.
I installed Squeeze and TDE for myself, but managed to mess up my mail in
KMail, and retreated (temporarily) back to Lenny and KDE 3.5.10.
So - any advice? The KDE configurations will almost certainly be a problem.
Any advise on how to rename them _before_ I mess everything up.
I have been Googling. It wasn't reassuring! See, e.g.,
http://lxer.com/module/forums/t/31333/ . It was also not much use.
I am very happy to RTFM if some kind soul would point me to the FM. I can't
find it. And I should be delighted at LMGTFY - my Google-foo, in so far as
it ever existed, seems to have deserted me!
Thanks,
Lisi
I have tried to use trinity on LSTP , it is quite a lot slower compared
to xfce . The difference creed derives particularly from the windows
manager. I find sharp slowing downs when I pass from a window to an
other one.
Only font antialiasing on, are there other configurations what they can
collide on the performances?
Thanks.
Rodolfo
Hi all,
running on Funtoo/Gentoo i have this strange problem with the ALT+F2
run-dialog in trinity-3.5.13.
Hitting ALT+F2 i can run stuff like
firefox
htop
xchat
...
but other tools like
top
urxvt
...
i get an error saying 'Could not run the specified command"
Even weirder as i said i can run "firefox" but "/usr/bin/firefox" gives
me the same error as above...
Using "Options-> Run in Terminal Window" it works too but i get an
additional konsole-window.
I'm wondering if i could be missing a kioslave or sth. kdebase-kioslaves
is installed.. i think it is not a path problem because all tools are
located in /usr/bin/ and the absolute-path doesn't work too.
Is there sth. else that i should be looking for? How can i get the debug
output from that dialog?
greetings,
Roman

I was waiting to reply until a few other responses had come through.
Sometimes I need to others' comments to take note of: "Hey! That is
important to me, too."
However, this "Poll" topic has turned into a Troll Fest -- just like so
many other posting in "users" and "developers".
Especially "developers"!! Why!!!!
There would be FAR MORE PROGRESS in the continued development of
Trinity if the developers did not treat
trinity-devel(a)lists.pearsoncomputing.net as a chat room where they felt
compelled to response to each and every troll!
Update your killfiles! Good grief, I have! But I'm forced to slog
through all the follow-on replies to the nonsense .
KDE4 should simply be OFF TOPIC -- along with prostate problems,
hemorrhoid afflictions, and microsoft business practices, etc., usw.
I would like to see the developers cranking out code and updates, and
NOT cranking out Troll bombs.
Anyway, that's _my_ opinion...
Maybe, once I've calmed down, I'll respond On Topic
to Tim's Poll inquiry.
sigh...

Hi,
I wannted fix Bug 690, so I installed daily snapshot from repository,
but I get several bigger problems (konqueror can run in file manager
mode, something like kdesktop fall during login...). Is daily build
supposed to be installable?
Thanks
