libogg0 conflicts with libogg0:i386 under ubuntu precise

Hi folks, I'm using trinity on a 64 bit Ubuntu precise (12.04) installation and I want to report a very annoying bug caused by a package conflict of libogg0 from the trinity repository: https://bugs.launchpad.net/trinity-desktop/+bug/977103 Since trinity's libogg0 conflicts with Ubuntu libogg0:i386 several 32 bit applications such as adobe reader can no longer be installed on 64 bit trinity installations. Is there really a conflict between libogg0 and libogg0:i386 that needs to be in the package definition or can one just remove this tag? Best Regards, Stefan

sudoers file deleted!

Hello I am desperate: I just tried to de install kde trinity and now my sudoers file got deleted, a new generated, but I do not any longer belong to this group. That is why I cannot use my PC anymore. Is re installation the only solution? thanks Uwe Brauer

Precise/amd64, TDE 3.5.13.1, firefox (and other) problems

Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS Release: 12.04 Codename: precise ii kdebase-trinity 4:3.5.13-1ubuntu0+ax3~precise base components from the official KDE release ii firefox 18.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.3 Safe and easy web browser from Mozilla Patches are all up to date as of this morning (about 1700 UTC). In firefox, a number of dialog boxes ... maybe all of them ... that involve saving a file or browsing for a file are broken. Example: I need Google Chrome for a site that won't work with anything else. The repo line I found is out of date, so I went to their install website. Selected 64-bit deb, get the download dialog, click OK, then nothing. Never shows up no matter whether I accept the default path or change it. Website reacts like it got the "OK, I'm done signal" and progresses to the next page. I thought maybe it was that old problem that was worked around by using the LD_PRELOAD hack, but no (nor renaming /opt/trinity/share/kgtk/preload). Thought they were worth a try before posting. My PCLinuxOS TDE non-official remaster version 2013, January 15 is ready to download! ***Please note that if you already use the previous version of this remaster, and you have followed the procedures to enable the new PCLOS repos as I said in my message titled ''Important note for PCLOS TDE remaster users'', you already have the new version. PCLOS is a rolling release.*** I call it non-official because it doesn't come from the PCLOS team and since it contains software coming from outside of their repos, it is also not supported by them. It can be seen as a whole as the much-loved PCLOS 2007, but fully updated and upgraded. It is a complete system that can be used as a LiveDVD or it can be installed (from the LiveDVD). Major apps pre-installed (in no special order): -PCLinuxOS 2013 (completely updated) base system with KDE stripped out and replaced by TDE 3.5.13.1 -KFaenza as the default icon theme instead of Oxygen -Most systems libs are completely updated since the last release -Amarok -K3b -Firefox 18 -Dillo -Dolphin -Konqueror -LibreOffice 3.6 -Quanta plus -VirtualBox -SuperKaramba -Synaptic -VLC media player 2.0.6 -Kaffeine -BleachBit -GParted -QtCurve theme -Baghira theme -The GIMP -QCad -Kontact (Note: I couldn't test completely Kmail, but it seems to work. network problem exe gnu/linux

OK, i,m using exe/gnu wheezy version ( which rocks harder than a very hard thing. ). nothing can access the web. synaptic, kmail, konqueror, firefox nothing. ping don't work nothing. network configured with ceni. i've not changed the settings. my connection is through my android phone tethered. now here is where it gets interesting , tor browser works without any problem whatsoever. so i thought it might be my isp ( 3 in the uk ). so i booted into my xubuntu partition with kde 4 and networking works no problem. any help would be very gratefully appreciated. just ask if you need more info. thanks gareth

Important note for those who use PCLinuxOS 2012 non-official TDE remaster

Hello everyone! First of all, I want to thank everyone here who use my PCLinuxOS 20112 non-official TDE remaster. Due to some important changes in the structures of the repositories used by PCLinuxOS, you should check the following link to know what you should do to keep Synaptic (and apt-get) working as it should: http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,87378.msg722604.html#msg7226… This news announcement is also on the main page of the projet: http://www.pclinuxos.org I will also try to do a fully-updated ISO of my remaster in the next weeks. This ISO will replace the present one and will have the changes integrated to the repos already installed. I know that TDE 3.5.13.2 is coming, but it will probably still be based on 3.5.13.1, until the new packages are released and packaged for PCLOS. themes broken?

I upgraded kdm-trinity from: 3.5.13-0debian9+r1261450+pr19~squeeze to: 3.5.13-1debian0+ax3~squeeze and also, kdmtheme-trinity from: 3.5.13-0debian9+r1248408+pr1~squeeze to: 3.5.13-1debian0+ax1~squeeze And now themes do not seem to be working at all. I also noticed that the rather long and profusely commented /etc/trinity/kdm/kdmrc was overwritten by kcontrol in admin mode when changing themes Any suggestions for making themes work again? Thanks!
