libogg0 conflicts with libogg0:i386 under ubuntu precise

Hi folks, I'm using trinity on a 64 bit Ubuntu precise (12.04) installation and I want to report a very annoying bug caused by a package conflict of libogg0 from the trinity repository: https://bugs.launchpad.net/trinity-desktop/+bug/977103 Since trinity's libogg0 conflicts with Ubuntu libogg0:i386 several 32 bit applications such as adobe reader can no longer be installed on 64 bit trinity installations. Is there really a conflict between libogg0 and libogg0:i386 that needs to be in the package definition or can one just remove this tag? Best Regards, Stefan

Wheezy amd64 Slavek repo. key binding 'ctl+a' used to select all messages in a folder, then 'ctl + j' would apply filters to the selected messages. 'ctl + a" not longer selects all messages. What happened? -- Peace, Greg

amarok-trinity not updated by 3.5.13.2 on Debian/Wheezy

Hi there. I just successfully updated to 3.5.13.2 - go team! As it turns outthe upgrade wasn't a complete upgrade due to missing updated packages for Wheezy. I used apt-get update && apt-get upgrade as root. Here's what it said. The following packages have been kept back: amarok-engine-xine-trinity amarok-trinity kdeaddons-trinity kdeedu-trinity kdemultimedia-trinity kig-trinity libarts1-xine-trinity noatun-plugins-trinity It seems that amarok-common-trinity isn't available in 3.5.13.2 yet. Recent Fedora 17 yum updates are failing. Failure report reads: file ...(various files)... from install of trinity-hal-info-20091130-1.fc17.noarch conflicts with file from package hal-info-20090716-4.fc17.noarch files affected include: .../10freedesktop/ 10-laptop-panel-hardware.fdi 10-modem.fdi 10-usb-card-readers.fdi 10-usb-music-players.fdi 20-vidio-quirk-pm-acer.fdi 20-vidio-quirk-pm-asus.fdi 20-vidio-quirk-pm-hp.fdi 20-vidio-quirk-pm-ibm.fdi 20-vidio-quirk-pm-lenovo.fdi 20-vidio-quirk-pm-sony.fdi 30-keymap-hp.fdi 30-keymap-misc.fdi The trinity-hal-info package is nominally from the repo: trinity-3.5.13-noarch The hal-info package is nominally from the repo: trinity-extras-noarch There is also a disconnect between Fedora Release values: hal-info reports as Release 4.fc17; trinity-hal-info reports as Release 1.fc17. Note there are crossconflicts in both file size and date, so I hesitated to just pick one. Problem is not occuring on current Scientific Linux updates. TDE 3.5.13.2 login loop

Hi, I'm a TDE user since v. 3.5.13, it's a very good desktop environment as it's configurable, fast and efficient in everyday tasks. Recently I decided to upgrade my Debian notebook (Dell D430 2x1.33GHz 64bit, 2GB RAM, 60GB HDD) to TDE 3.5.13.2. To do this I formatted entire HDD and installed Debian Wheezy NetInstall (amd64) from USB drive. Except typical problems with black screen in console (Intel 950) everything went OK. After installing TDE and rebooting it launched normally. I configured it as I like: turned sound notifications off, tweaked window decoration to KDE2, icons to KDE2 and added cut/opy/paste/Terminal here buttons to Konqueror's toolbar, disabled ctrl-alt-del at log in. Installed Geany IDE and KNeMo to see utilization of network connections, activated KNeMo to display icons. After rebooting it doesn't start properly. It gets to proper login screen, when I log in it waits for few seconds using hard disk, then screen turns black and back to wallpaper, login window appears again. This happens in a loop. Here's a log from .xsession-errors I pulled from console mode. It looks like segfault appears during setting paths. Some Mageia package depend on packages older than those installed...

Hello all, I've been trying again to install TDE on Mageia 3 (following the install instructions). Most of it seems OK, but the install fails with a message saying some packages can't be installed because they depend on packages older than those installed. The packages in question are trinity-perld-dcop, trinity-tdebindings and trinity-desktop. However, I've noticed that links, when installing software from Mageia, contain a directory "cauldron", and uname -a returns an "mga4" element. I associate "cauldron" with a development version, am I right? So could it be that I somehow got a development version of Mageia? The md5 hash of my DVD is not the same as that given on the mageia site ?!? I am re-downloading a fresh image from Mageia 3 now, but if anyone has more knowledge about Mageia than me, I'd be happy for any information about the version I should install for TDE... Currently I am uploading packages with the final version 3.5.13.2 to build. Since the speed of buildes is different for each platform, you may encounter occasional inconsistencies - in this case, simply wait for the update. Testing TDE R14

Hello, I would really like to do more testing of TDE R14 nightly builds on Ubuntu 13.04, but the TDE servers seems to be completely overwhelm since a few week, especially since Ubuntu nightly builds LiveCDs are available. When I want to update to the latest nightly build, it downloads at less than 56k Internet speed, so I often have to cancel the download because I don't want to wait for 15 hours for a it. Is there some ways that could be considered to make faster the TDE servers? In the list of distros where nightly builds are available, I see completely outdated versions of linux distributions. Is it still necessary to build nightly builds for obsolete versions of Ubuntu, as an example? Also, maybe a weekly Ubuntu nightly build LiveCD could be enough for its purpose, making the TDE servers save on bandwidth and improve its performance. Thanks! -Alexandre
