Hi there,
Just installed Debian 7.1 Wheezy and Trinity 3.5.13.2 on a Lenovo W500
The tray icon that usually shows my power status is there, but gives
only a tooltip, "No information about battery and AC status available"
Looking at kcontrol > KDE Components > Service Manager,
I see that in Load-on-Demand Services, Laptop Battery Monitor is not
running.
I am able to see the power status and battery readings in
/sys/class/power_supply, for both AC and BAT0
How can I get that service loaded?
Thanks!
~David
I think I know what a signature means in computerese, but I do not
know what to do when the following message is received at the end of
an apt-get update run.
W: GPG error: http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net squeeze
Release: The following signatures were invalid: BAGSIG
43F1DC4F2B8638D00 QuickbuildTrinity Desktop Environment
The result was that I was not allowed to download and then install
some TDE packages. How to fix?
Regards, Ken Heard
I let my system do the full 3.5.13.2 upgrade, but now almost all the
icons in my T-menu (kicker menu) are gone. The program icons are still
there, but the category icons are pretty much all gone. I saw the same
behavior on another system of another user that upgraded.
I'm using Ubuntu Precise. I have no other DEs installed.
Does anyone here know what's going on and whether it can be solved?
Thanks in advance,
Julius

When updateing debian wheezy on amd64 with apt-get or aptitude I get this
error:
GPG-error: http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net wheezy Release: The
next signatures were invalid: BADSIG 43F1DC4F2B8638D0 QuickBuild Trinity
Desktop Environment.
Ophalen van

has failed Hash-sum does not match.
Is this a matter of time and patience or a real error?

Hello everyone!
My PCLinuxOS TDE non-official remaster version 2013, July 3 is ready to download!
I call it non-official because it doesn't come from the PCLOS team and since it contains software coming from outside of
their repos, it is also not supported by them. It only has a special ''permission to exist'' from the PCLinuxOS dev team.
It can be seen as a whole as the much-loved PCLOS 2007, but fully updated and upgraded.
It is a complete system that can be used as a LiveDVD or it can be installed (from the LiveDVD).
New on this release:
-Fully updated PCLinuxOS 2013 base system
-TDE 3.5.13.2
-A theme switch Zenity script to let the user switch between the more modern theme I use and TDE default theme, to please more users.
-A SuperKaramba theme pack
-It can now be downloaded as a simgle ISO file, and not a multi-part zip file!
On this LivCD:
-Tons of TDE software and major apps like LibreOffice, Firefox and Gimp
Login info (on the LiveCD):
Regular user:guest Password:guest
Super user: root Password:root
System requirement:
A x86 computer with at least 256mb of RAM.
It is a 32bit system, but it can be installed on a 64bit system too.

Hello
I am using periodically the hebrew-phonetic keyboard, but I would like
to change its setting. How can I do that and where can I find
documentation?
thanks
Uwe Brauer
I am running TDE R14.0.0. Recently, I configured the panel (I think it
was just positioning at the middle, doing transparency--which did not
work--and choosing the display style and taskbar grouping,) and my
taskbar icons disappeared. I changed around the things I had changed
many times, and 'show icons' was selected (except a few times
turning it off and on to see if that worked)... but they will not come
back. If anyone has a solution, it would be good to CC the message to
my e-address, because I do not use Gmane much right now, rather than
Usenet.
