Since upgrading a few days ago, I get the following from KMail after a suspend: "The IP address of the host mail.xxx.xxx does not match the one the certificate was issued to." And I think this is true, thanks to my ISP's way of dealing with certificates. However, answering the next popup: "Would you like to accept this certificate forever without being prompted?" with 'Forever', does not have the desired effect, because it all happens again after the next suspend. Any obvious reason for this, or any other diagnostics I can try? It seemed to be fine with 3.5.13.2 cheers ant -- Sent from my linux system running Debian 7, desktop trinity-KDE. KMail mail check failure

in the last 6-8 months I have been having occasional failure of mail check both interval and manual. The symptom is the bottom right progress bar shows constant movement with no percentage given and no new mail.Workaround is close kmail, reopen it go to Settings - Configure Mail - Accounts - Receiving - Modify - Apply (without editing anything) - OK and it downloads and will do so for 1~30 days and the same thing happens again. Doesn't matter which of 4 POP3 accounts I select to (not) modify - all then download Just open/close does not fix it nor TDE exit/new session or reboot. Machine normally runs 24/7 Has persisted through a complete machine replacement (with the same ~.trinity/share/apps/kmail/mail directory and filters This is with KMail 1.9.10 (enterprise35.0.20100827.1168748) (Using Trinity 3.5.13.2) on Debian 7 reported by synaptic as kmail-trinity 4.3.5.13.2-0debiian7.0.0+0. The same setup had been working fine for some months beforehand Any ideas ? Regards John Campbell

installations instructions for R14

Hello Now that R14 is released, I presume that the installation (for example for Ubuntu 14.04) are similar to the one found https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/UbuntuInstall However I propose to add the R14 instructions if possible. regards Uwe Brauer

exegnu-jessv-20141125.iso

Hi Guys, David, I've downloaded and burnt a CD from exegnu-jessv-20141125.iso. Its fine, checksum matches. So I thought that I would try it as a live CD on this, my usual machine. The CD boots up as I would expect except for a couple of things. After all the boot process, I'm left with a text screen with a list of boot processes, which never finishes. The last item refers to IPV6 and a blank line. Pressing enter gives me a prompt at which if I enter "startx" takes me to a totally black screen. I minute later I get the start screen for "exegnu" as a panel in the top left corner of the screen. After this screen has finished I'm left with the normal taskbar at the bottom and a totally black background. I cannot get anything from any mouse button on this background, I can however access items from the normal menu and the icons on the taskbar. Locating the screen menu items, whilst it allows me to go through the settings, does nothing. Curiously the "Scan rate" box shows zero and is not changable. Everything else seems to function as I would expect. The machine is a 3Ghz intel P4 dual core, 1.5Gb ram, on board 64Mb SIS 661 Graphics, SIS 661FX chipset, SIS 7012 sound, SIS 900 Ethernet. What about a Trinity Raspberry Pi Raspbian-based image?

Hi, I'm thinking about making a Trinity Raspberry Pi image based on Raspbian, mostly because I don't see feature-full ready-to-use images avilable for the Raspberry Pi. All of the available images are very minimal and need some work to get to something interesting. I'm thinking about having all the regular common-use Linux software such as LibreOffice and Firefox, with a full-feature TDE desktop environment. So, I'd like to know if there would be some interest in it, if it worth doing it. Also, how many persons here have a Pi? Thank you! -Alexandre

You should notice far fewer, if any, outright 404 failures and/or package inconsistencies. The bad news is that relatively new files are being transferred straight from the TDE servers and you will notice a severely throttled download speed for those files. However, in light of the issues being reported with the previous system this small disadvantage seems far preferable. Debian/Ubuntu users, please test and report back. Thanks! [trinity-users] Exe GNU/Linux, Jessie, no-systemd

A new (experimental) Exe GNU/Linux version exegnu-jessv-20141109.iso is available. It is current TDE R14 on (mostly current and original) Debian Jessie. All *systemd* packages are excluded using /etc/apt/preferences. Recompiled (without *systemd*) libpulse0 (mplayer dep) and dbus are used. Cups version is pinned to 1.7.1-5. A few important packages may be missing or not working properly. There is only me to test it so far, any help appreciated. Updates will follow. http://exegnulinux.net/downloads/jessie/
