system: Debian Wheezy, TDE 3.5.13.2 amd64
I recieve construction drawings as pdf"s. These are ARCH D = 24x36 or
ANSI D = 22x34. I view them in kpdf, I print them to my printer using
Tabloid, paper size = 11x17.
Only an 8x11 image gets printed on the 11x17 page.. Can not figure out
how to get the correct size image, seems like shrink to fit, or some
such were options. Do not see any such in the kpdf print dialog.
Using krinter to print the same file it prints an 11x17 portion of the
larger file size.
kpdf has a different print dialog than kprinter...?,
Using cups, server:/var/run/cups/cups.sock
printer driver for my HP Offficejet Pro 8600: hpcups 3.12.6

Hi,
I'm sorry for the shortcomings you may experience with it.
This means that Trinity package for PCLinuxOS aren't 100% compatible with the newer packages used on PCLinuxOS. As of now, you can use the system as is after the install, but without upgrading it.
I'll work at making the new version of it available very soon. It will have newer kernel (better hardware support) and the TDE packages are built against the new libraries used in the present version of PCLinuxOS. Coming soon!
There is currently no plans to make a 64 bit version of my remaster, since 64 bit machines has enough power to handle more than TDE, but there is always the possibility to change the Kernel to one that supports more RAM on 32 bit machines.

Hello Trinity-Team,
I use ark very offen and would like to open archive files with special
editors for example php-files with geany.
When I select the file and use the function "open with", select geany
it will be open with geany.
But when I check the checkbox to make the selected tool the default for
this type of file ark didn't remember this settings and allway show the
files with the internal viewer.
Is there a trick to change this behavior - as it was in old kde 3.5?
Many thanks for your suggestions
Rolf
Hi,
I would like to know if there is a set of packages available for the Raspberry Pi model B with 512mb of RAM mini computer. I use Raspbian (based on Debian 7).
I bought it last week and with the turbo (well...) overclock at 1000mhz, it has almost adequate processing power for running TDE, probably similar to the power of PCs used in the first part of the KDE3 era.
Thank you very much!

Hello,
My Thinkpad laptop has a Lubuntu partition that has wired and wireless
access: the modules are iwlwifi and e1000e.
Another partition runs exeGnu Trinity 14 but no internet connection.
I used modprobe to install the above modules and put their names in
/etc/modules, but wlan0 and eth0 are still not seen.
What to do?
Robert
I have a client whose sound has suddenly died, after running well
since the system was installed. (Six months?? A bit more?) The
obvious explanations are user error (clicked something without
realising) or dead hardware.
She is running Debian Wheezy with TDE 3.5.13.2 on an oldish Dell
laptop. Since I haven't got the laptop here, I haven't got its
specs. I cannot have the laptop to work on for the moment, since she
is using it a lot for now.
All suggestions or explanations welcomed,
Lisi
I did a quick check, my local shop sells 'HGST Touro Mobile' XHDD
for $55. So, I'll grab one next week and backup all of my home files
(shoulda did that already) and then install the new OS.

Yep, but be aware that if anything goes wrong you WILL lose your data.
You don't say how much space you have or why another drive is no option, but having 700 GB of valuable data and no backup... that's dangerous.
Hard disks do die...

Does anyone know why the Trinity KDE Control Module for printers doesn't
show jobs in the print queues?
The problem is probably best illustrated with a screen scrape:
http://ruffle.me.uk/nojobsshown.png
You can see in the xterm window the current queue status and in the
Control Module window no jobs showing up. I've tried in both normal
user and Administrator mode.
I'm running:
% kcontrol --version
Qt: 3.3.8d
KDE: 3.5.13.2
Trinity Control Center: 3.5.13.2
On an older KDE3 system:
% kcontrol --version
Qt: 3.3.8b
KDE: 3.5.10
KDE Control Center: 3.5.10
with, for all intents and purposes an identical printer setup, it works.
