Hello all,
I have installed MX-15 Linux (I think I learned about it here), that is Debian
based. I haven't used it so much yet (main install using openSUSE).
Following the announce of 14.0.4 I have tried to dist-upgrade, which worked
well (appart of Grub2 overwriting my mbr as usual) and MX-15 now has 14.0.4.
However, I can't shutdown from TDE (anymore? I think I could before, but I am
not 100% sure). I have checked what settings I identify "(offer shutdown
options" is checked, "allow shutdown" is set to "everybody") but after a
right click + Log out <user> all I'm offered is to "End current session". To
shutdown or restart I must use the command line and get root.

Hi all!
I kmail, when typing an email address, kmail gives a dropdown list of previously entered mail adresses. Now I trying to get rid of some badly formed email adressess from that list, but I cannot figure out where kmail stores this list. So, does anybody know where this list lives?
I also try to give konqueror a list of adresses that it should present the user when he/she types something in the URL field. Where do I find this list?

For Ubuntu is now available two LiveCD: The official follow-up to the original
KUbuntu - it is based on Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty). Thirdparty (alternative) made
from scratch - it is based on Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial).

Now already begun work on a new target R14.0.5. Therefore in the Preliminary
Stable Builds apt repository you can soon expect new packages. If you used
the Preliminary Stable Builds repository only temporarily, and you prefer to
stick on the official final release, it is now the best time to switch to the
official repository. Otherwise, we will be very happy if you help us in
testing the upcoming release.

Debian stable system latest TDE version R14.0.4.
When I click on a mailto link in chrome it brings up the chrome browser,
possibly looking for gmail.
Google says the default behavior is to use the OS default mail client. I use
Thunderbird and Kmail, chrome can not seem to find either one.
Does this work for any one else?

Hi,
I tried to install TDE on a Raspberry Pi, which goes with an error in
htdig - so I disabled its installation.
But when I start tdm which ends without an error and no gui is shown.
Starting with startx there is a gui, but I get no tde environment.
Does someone else had this problem and solved it? Any help will be great.

hello,
tried to upgrade and ended up with a nest of problems.
I'm up and running Jessie but:
a) the Desktop shows no icons and
b) I cannot right-click - no response
c) I like setting the Console schema to taste; the setting does not
stick
I assume some config file is amiss or some kind of permissions
problem.

I used kvpnc without problems in Kubuntu 10.04+trinity.
But now either in Ubuntu 14.04+trinity or Kubuntu14.04+trinity
I run into a serious problem.
The kvpnc connects to the VPN server using the chisco backend.
Everything works, connection is established, but then
Any ping does not give a result
for example ping www.economist.com
Just hangs.
But ping 192.230.82.108
Gives a result so it seems a strange DNS problem
When I have no connection then
ping www.economist.com
just would give unknown host
Be it as it may, I cannot use the connection this way. The browser does
not fin Once I close the
vpn tunnel everything works again fine. I googled but did not find any
result.
Any help on this issue is highly appreciated since VPN is very important
to me.

You've probably hit to the middle of upload the new release. Try to make
the apt-get update and upgrade again.

I would like very much to change the fonts that Firefox uses from Sans-Serif
to a Serif font. All of the fixes for this issue that I've found on the web
advocate using GTK-QT-engine and GTK Styles and Fonts to fix this, but it's
not working for me. After verifying that GTK-QT-engine
(trinity-gtk-qt-engine) is installed, I shut down all instances of Firefox,
then used the Trinity Control Center to set "Use my TDE style in GTK2
applications", "Use my TDE style in GTK3 applications", and "Use my TDE fonts
in GTK2 applications"; but after restarting Firefox, the same old Sans-Serif
fonts are displayed in all Firefox menus, dialogs, etc.
I also tried "Use another (GTK2) font, specifying "Droid Serif (size 9)", but
that didn't work either.
There is no GTK3 Fonts section in GTK Styles and Fonts, so I can't explicitly
tell TDE to change the GTK3 fonts.
Is there another way to tell Firefox (and other GTK apps) to use a different
font without installing all of Gnome?
