Hi
When running
git log --graph --all --decorate --color=always --pretty=short| git name-rev --stdin | less
I see
* ESC[33mcommit 9dc21b3902a819796d1ba3bc7654733ab00e6e75 (feature)ESC[mESC[33m (ESC[mESC[36mHEADESC[mESC[33m -> ESC[mESC[32mfeature
ESC[mESC[33m)ESC[m
However
git log --graph --all --decorate --color=always --pretty=short| git name-rev --stdin | less -R
Works as expected.
Any idea what is wrong in my setting (this happens in tcsh or bash
shell)

Hello all,
I have installed MX-Linux 21 on a laptop (with xfce). For some things I find
xfce quite nice to use, but I decided to install TDE too (actually I have one
user configured to start xfce and another TDE).
I followed the wiki and created a tde.list in /etc/apt/sources.list.d,
downloaded the keyring and apt-get updated.
- Everything installed fine (using the preliminary builds) and TDE is running
OK
- However, when running apt-get update I got this (at the end of the update):
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/cnf-update-db", line 26, in <module>
col.create(db)
File "/usr/share/command-not-found/CommandNotFound/db/creator.py", line 95,

File "/usr/share/command-not-found/CommandNotFound/db/creator.py", line 282,

priority = component_priorities[component]
KeyError: 'deps-r14'
It does not seem to hurt, but I wonder what it is.
Using the regular stable release has the same effect, commenting all lines in
tde.list results in no message, so it's linked to the tde repositories
somehow.

Hi all,
you might have been used to the fact that after the release of a new
version, a new development window was soon opened and new packages started
arriving in the PSB repository. You've probably noticed that this time is
different.
We are planning to move forward and release the first version of the new
series - R14.1.0 - at the next release cycle.
There are no active plans for another release in the R14.0.x series, but
for now we're leaving the possibility open for a R14.0.14 window in case
there are some important reasons to release such a version.
Therefore, here is important information regarding the apt sources of PSB
and PTB.
If you would like to get involved now in testing the upcoming R14.1.0, you
can set your apt sources to PTB repository and you will get the current
state of R14.1.0~pre. You don't have to worry that this is a "testing"
version - it's very stable and suitable for everyday use and packages are
available for all supported distributions - old stable, stable, testing,
unstable.
Some time in future, when it will be clear that nothing prevents the next
release to be R14.1.0, the content of the PSB repository will be updated
to match the PTB. Until then, there will be no activity in the PSB
repository. We will inform you before this update is made.
If you are using PSB and wish to stay on the current stable release, this
is a good time to switch from PSB to official release sources.
Thank you for your support!
Cheers

I can't get rid of a spurious empty KPDF entry in my TDE
menu. If I delete or cut it and save it's still there.
Otherwise TDE menu editor works correctly and I can add
and remove entries.
I've looked in ~/.trinity/share/config/* and /usr/share/menu/*
and can't find anything that might be causing it. Is there
anything else I should check or do?
Thanks,

Be Free, Be Linux
Hi
I am on Ubuntu 16.04 and
trintiy 4:14.0.11~pre46-0ubuntu16.04.0+7
Now I swore I did this for years: lock session and log in as a different user, without really logging out and in.
But in the attached screenshot, I cannot find this entry anymore!
What do I miss?
Thanks and regards

When my /proc/cmdline includes a 3, and/or when
# systemctl get-default
multi-user.target
and TDM is not running, doing an apt-get upgrade that includes a newer tdm, starts
tdm, wresting the console from whatever I am doing while the upgrade is in
process. I don't want that to happen. It's very disturbing. Is there a way to
configure it only to restart, but never start, as a result of an
apt/apt-get/aptitude installation or upgrade process?

In a way this is a test; if the message shows up, then the bounce message
(see below) is false so excuse the noise.
I did write to users-owner(a)trinitydesktop.org but got no reply.
Hopefully resolved so pardon the noise.

Hi everyone:
I install on my notebook a Opensuse Tumbleweed all fresh.
Note that Opensuse first install plasma. So i add the repositories and install
TDE with no problem
If i open the session in plasma the network applet works fine. I can see the
list of wifi network, I can select one to connect, and i can connect
successfully to the wifi.
If i close the session and open TDE the "world" applet appear on grey and cant
connect. Sadly i dont know where is any log or how know what is happening:
The scenary is this::
1) Tde applet main screen say:
Wired disconnected
Wireles Connection (wlo1)
My network_5G
My network_5G (2 times the same network)
not appear any other network, i cant find "scan" option
2) If i click "my network_5G" the gear turn for few seconds and then say :
Connection attemp failed unkonw SSID
3) Connect to new network:
-Appear the list of my networks.
-Select My network_2.4G
- Open a popup:
Unable save network connection
Potential causes:
Insufficient permissions
NetworkManager not running
DBUS failure
Network Manager is running:
systemctl list-unit-files --state:enable --no-pager | grep -i "network"
NetworkManager-dispatcher.service Enabled Disabled
NetworkManager-wait-online.service Enabled Disabled
NetworkManager.service Enabled Disabled
At this moment i dont know how follow this. Thanks in advance.
Best Regards for everyone

Be Free, Be Linux
I always use useTheme=false in tdmrc. It has been the best theme of any login
greeter ever created, until recently, when the login UI became tacky looking with
an extra title line. It used to default to
Welcome to Trinity at hostname
login
password
That changed to
* Trinity Desktop Environment
------------------------------
Welcome to Trinity at hostname
login
password
I don't see a way in tdmrc or TCC to select either one or the other instead of
both. Is there a way?
The instant case triggering my composing this is on Mageia, but I've seen it on
multiple installations, and I don't think all were Mageia.
