Kaffeine unattended

I don't know if someone can help me on this one. The goal is as follow: I have an older machine, running Wheezy and TDE 13.2 As it's only used to record satellite-TV I never felt the need to update it and won't do unless necessary. Now what I would like to do is record something in a week, without leaving the computer on for all that time. I can let the computer start at the right time. When starting it loads kaffeine. I've programmed the recording. My problem is this: a) Kaffeine is started by a link in .trinity/Autostart. The programs starts OK but the Recording Schedule is empty. No recording. b) I close kaffeine and start it again. Now the Recording Schedule is there. Is there some magical string to add so that Kaffeine autostarts *AND* loads the Recording schedule? man or --help don't provide anything about recording. Thierry

Liddel's messages, they still end up in spam. So I have to fish them out as well. A friend at google says it happens because their filtering setups, are designed to favour paid adverts and spam tag nonpaying competitors. He guesses E. Liddel, must be similar enough to a nonpaying competitor to be filtered into spam. Honestly I think they have it out for Liddel. Trinity Desktop and IMEs

Hi, I am a CJK user which relies on IMEs (i.e. iBus, fcitx) etc. to type my native language. However, I found that most of the IMEs only work with modern toolkit libraries, like Qt4/5 and GTK 2/3. I tried R14.0.4 and fcitx does not work on it. It seems that unless these IMEs provide libraries to work with Qt3, it is impossible to get IMEs working in TDE. So my question is, are there any workarounds for such a situation?

Not Getting list mail

Hi Guys, Is there something going on with Google (Gmail) and the list mail ? There isn't any list mail shown when I go into my mail account. But I can see my post and John Pisini's reply on line. Hello, Sorry, the recent internet link below is in french. (28/09/2018) I translate a little bit : The Linux system "cloud Azure" of Microsoft represents now 50%, and each month it increases. As I written, Microsoft says that : "they are now a major actor of the opensource..." Even the ex-General Executive of Microsoft, Steve Ballmer, who hated Linux, qualified it as a "cancer ", says now that he is a fan of the Linux system. The time has changed... I also use kshowmail and it deletes the emails I don't want and go lists the ones I do. gmail's "filters" are really just designed to let paying spam through anyway. Kate

We believe in simple things. "Never redefine another person's words." There's more but I think I got what counts for this. I choose gnu linux and kde because they worked. Everything else came after. No politics no religion, no nothing. I needed a tool that would actually work and as it turns out, was within me price range.. free. I don't know how this was started. Smart card support?

I see that TDE supports SmartCards according to https://www.trinitydesktop.org/features.php . I also see some smart card functionality in the source code of some of the files. What I can't find is any documentation on how to use it or set it up or any of the user space applications for it. There are two places where I'm looking for TDE support: Login (TDM) Lock Screen. I currently have TDE installed via the debian packages for it for Debian Stretch. R14.0.5 Can someone point me to the documentation on how to get it work in TDE? Thanks, Jacob
