Greetings;
It originally was going to update 324 packages, but not all could be
downloaded, so now its back in the download phase, having updated about
100 that it could get the first time. 214 to go, but the download
screen is confusing because its not being kept up to date.
At one point I was looking at an estimated time to completion of 1 day +
23 hours, with a download rate of about 2k a second.
Right now is says 2278 B/s for file 13 of 278.
Did we melt the server down?
Cheers, Gene Heskett

hi all
I just upgraded mageia from 4 to 5 and it seems there is no trinity
repository for mga5.
I found https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/MageiaInstall and there seems
to be nothing for mga5 ;(
did I miss something ? If not can I hope for a mga5 repository soon or
will I have to drop mageia ? ( I cant live more than a few weeks
without my preferred desktop , trinity.
the upgrade from mga4 to mga5 have orphaned all the trinity packages.
Greetings all;
shentel has fired gmail, so that account stopped working, without notice
or fanfare about 14:30 local time yesterday.
I have now fixed my fetchmail & related scripts so that I can receive
incoming emails from their new server. On port 995
But setting that address in a kmail send account is not working, and
kmail won't even show me the alternate sending server as a sending
target. A "check what the server supports" times out about a minute
later as no contact hasa been made.
I'm fresh out of clues & could use some help.
Like is there an alternate port number to try instead of 25 for smtp?
Thanks.
Cheers, Gene Heskett

Sorry for such a kind of superfluous comment, but when can we expect TDE R14.0.1 to be ready and downloadable?
And another question: I will need to compile TDE myself and I have read that there were massive problems because of failed library dependcies which were not detected (visible?) during compilation. Esp., libpng15, because that one missing ruins the general appearance. Any hints on that topic, or has there been an improvement on the compile script side?
Using Krusader 1.90.0 in TDE 14.0.1, trying to access the file system
in my LG-P716 phone. But it doesn't appear in Krusader's dropdown
media list. Or under /media/.
For the phone's USB connection type I try Media sync (MTP) or Camera
(PTP), both without success.
Installed kio-mtp and associated KDE4 files but still no go.
Any ideas?

KMail 1.9.10
It is a new installation of both Trinity and KMail on a new computer.
Initially it worked fine and a pile of new messages downloaded. Now it won't
download and I get the error message:
'could not connect to host localhost'
I have run it from a terminal, and I get:

When I shut down KMail, the Konsole hung at <Weaver dtor: done>. I then did
^C to shut it down in the Konsole and shut the Konsole.
What do I do to get KMail working, or do I have to put this client back on
Icedove and Mbox. :-(

Trinity R14.0.1
KMail 1.9.10
Mails won't send, no error message. Not even if I click on <send queued
messages>. So far I have not succeeded in sending a single message from teh
new set-up.
I have googled, but usual problem - too much KDE4. :-(
The following could be the explanation, but I can't translate it into
Trinity-ese. Something somewhere must be misconfigured or stuck. I attach
(if they will go) screenshots of the smtp settings, with the email address
changed a bit. But if the settings were wrong I would expect an error
message.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your mails are not being sent, without error messages
If KMail does not send mail without saying anything, the 'agent' responsible
for 'dispatching' the mails can be stuck. Of course, you need to ensure you
have proper network connectivity for mail to be send!
To remedy this, it might help to abort the current action and re-start it.
First, quit KMail by using KRunner (Alt + F2) or Konsole and typing: kquitapp
kmail. Note that a normal Alt + F4 or File -> Quit does not do the trick!
Wait a minute, then start KMail again. Now start akonadiconsole using KRunner
(Alt + F2) or Konsole. Go to the Mail Dispatcher Agent, do a right-click and
abort the current action. You will most likely get some error messages
popping up. Go back to KMail and choose File -> Send Queued Messages. Now it
might work. If not, instead of aborting the current action, try toggling the
offline/offline status of the Mail Dispatcher Agent or restarting things like
mentioned in the workaround 2 of the problem above this one.

Note
akonadiconsole can be quite helpful for a number of situations as it shows all
the 'agents', the separate components of the KMail backend. You can stop and
start them, put them in offline mode, abort ongoing actions etc. It can be
very helpful when things get stuck.
---------------------------------------
I am sure that it is PEBKAC again, but I can't leave this for a day or three
until I feel more functional. I have to get it done.

any idea what's up here?
thanks in advance for any advice.

Hello,
I cannot resize the windows with the right button of the mouse as before,
on kde-trinity 3.5.
So, I must accept two sizes, a size by default (80 X 24) or the mode full

Thanks.

Hi,
I just bought an ARM laptop at a relatively low price with a dual-core WonderMedia WM8880 1,5ghz CPU and 1gb of ram. It comes with Android, but I found a working sd card image with Ubuntu 14.04 ARM made for it, and it works impressively well with it.
But now, I would like to know if there is pre-built package for Ubuntu 14.04 of either R14.0.0, or better R14.0.1 (or Slavek's PSB repo). If yes, what do I add to my source.list file?
Here is the laptop, for info:

Thank you!
