Toggle keyboard layout + xkbd @ TDE R14.1.0

Hi folks, after upgrading to R14.1.0 I miss the old way of switching between keyboard layouts with Ctrl+Alt+K. It looks like the option to NOT use xkbd is missing and the only option to toggle is now xkbd. In addition, the keyboard model setting apparently stopped working, in my case "Dell Latitude laptop" - some functions no longer work, e.g. Fn+F1 (for sleep) or Fn+F5 (for touchpad toggle) or Fn+Arrows (for brightness level). Everything worked for over a decade before the upgrade. I prefer TDE because its basic functions have not fundamentally changed since the KDE3 era, and after twenty years of using the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+K, I have a hard time getting used to the "new" shortcuts. Is there any way to revert back to the original keyboard shortcut for switching the keyboard layout? X wont start with TDM but will with startx

Hey everyone, sorry if this is the wrong place. I am having issues with TDM on my Debian install, it never wants to start x. When I use startx it loads trinity (with broken transparency), but I cant get TDM to work at all. Konsole 'Edit Bookmarks' dialog's Toolbar ignores changes

When I try to customize Konsole's 'Edit Bookmarks' dialog's Toolbar by right-clicking the bar and dragging in additional tools, my changes are ignored. When I use Settings => Configure Toolbars..., that works; but I almost never use the Settings menu for that, because not all applications have the option there. How to disable web browsing in Konqueror?

Since we’re chatting about Konqueror, is there an easy way to either disable its web browsing features or block its off-box access? I love Konq, but it occasional (very rarely, but happened earlier this week) thinks a file I click is a web page instead of opening it in a local program (KWrite, LibreOffice, or whatever). Panels only appear on desktop #1

I've installed Trinity R14.10 on a new laptop, and it has the default four desktops configured, but the main panel only appears on desktop #1. I don't remember seeing this happen on any of my previous installs. I have made minimal changes to the desktop settings, just removing default wallpaper, setting fonts, and such, so this is a bit odd. ~/.xsessionrc: osd_clock is not showing up on display anymore

Good day! After a recent update (see below) starting 'osd_clock' in ~/.xsessionrc does not work properly anymore. Osd_clock is an on-screen clock which is projected to the root window and through all program windows (on top). My setup: I have 'osd_clock' started in ~/.xsessionrc like this: exec osd_clock -r -o 10 -s 0 -F '%A, %d.%m.%Y :: %R Uhr ·%S·' & On my system (devuan beowulf) ~/.xsessionrc is sourced by /etc/X11/Xsession.d/40x11-common_xsessionrc which is sourced by /etc/X11/Xsession which is sourced by /etc/trinity/tdm/Xsession. This used to work for years. Problem behaviour: --- When I now log in into TDM, osd_clock briefly appears and then vanishes just before TDM starts the X-session. --- After that osd_clock is a running process, but does not show up in the display. $ ps aux | grep osd_clock stekru 3788 0.0 0.0 96124 4000 ? Sl 09:45 0:00 osd_clock -r -o 10 -s 0 -F %A, %d.%m. %Y :: %R Uhr ·%S· --- Apparently osd_clock is running with no terminal (the "?"). A manually started osd_clock is running fine and shows up like this (second line): $ ps aux | grep osd_clock stekru 3788 0.0 0.0 96124 4000 ? kontact burning CPU increases since last upgrade

Hi, I am using kontact for mail, calendar, contacts and news Since last upgrade I have to restart it regularly, because over time it burns more and more CPU. Does anyone has any idea how to find out what is going on? thanks BR

Complete breakage of KRFB and KRDC

Hi Tell me please, the moving of KRFB and KRDC to the standalone libvnc in 14.1.0, this is for complete breakage of KRFB and KRDC or I misunderstand something? :) KRFB is just dead cycling in some QObject destructor at any connection before the password transmission even. KRDC shows the remote screen, but it is hanging mostly, when there impossible to close the program, only kill. Whether I must downgrade the KRFB and KRDC code back to 14.0.13?
