Dear all,
the TDE development team has finally prepared a list of bugs that will be addressed for the release of v14.0.0.
The list is available on the etherpad (http://trinity.etherpad.trinitydesktop.org/39) and on bugszilla as meta bug 2014 (http://bugs.pearsoncomputing.net/show_bug.cgi?id=2014).
If there is a specific bug that you think should be fixed in v14.0.0 and that we have not included, feel free to propose it in the mailing list for consideration. Please keep in mind that such bugs should be blockers/critical or cause major loss of functionality to users.
We are looking at freezing the list in one week time (after 2014/03/19 US time).
The current list of bugs is quite long as you can see, so v14.0.0 will probably not be release before 2-3 additional months of development, based on the resources currently available. Nevertheless we have a soft-freeze in place and so development should be focused mainly on the official bug list.

Hello,
I have installed TDE Ubuntu 12.04 today and found that when I select
LibreOffice the splash screen comes up and freezes for several minutes before
I can clear it by clicking on the desktop. Trying to open up a document has
the same effect.
I have uninstalled the complete package via Adept and then re-installed to no
avail. A check with Synaptic doesn't reveal any broken packages.
I have checked the archives for anything relevant.
Any ideas as to what's wrong please.

I finally got my Paypal account working again. With this we should be a little closer to replacing that cooler.
Come on everybody, every little helps. It may be a small or big effort for each of us, depending on the individual situation, but all together we can do that. I am sure Tim would not have asked if there was another way to do it.

Trinity has been my workstation DE for my business, well, since KDE3
went to KDE4. I know there are some others using Trinity, it has a core
group of dedication devs and users, small and broke though
Check it out..help if warrented.

I have for some time had TDE key problems on my husband's desktop. I
keep thinking that it must have been solved by now and trying again.
He has Wheezy with TDE 3.5.13.2, just as I have. I have no problems
with my own key.
Here is my latest attempt:

Dear all,
bug 1833 (http://bugs.pearsoncomputing.net/show_bug.cgi?id=1833) reports discontinued links to KBabel po compendium files.
I googled a lot and seems the problem goes back to the KDE days.
I am looking at removing those links and perhaps the whole TMX and PO compendium module pages, but before doing that I would like to know if any of you has been able to use them and in case which link you have used.
Feedback is appreciated.

Hi,
Here is some new pictures to replace the KDE 3.5 stock images found in the KPersonalizer wizard. It would make a great first impression to new users for the upcoming R14 and it would make TDE look like it has progressed since the last 10 years. You will see that while they are new, they do have some inspiration from the old ones.
It is based on CrystalSVG, KFaenza and MoodinKDE.
If you want, I can provide my GIMP files.
Any __constructive__ ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated!

back on the glory days of OS/2 -- yes, i'm *that* old -- i had a wonderful
utility that allowed the user to create his own mouse pointers. after
fiddling with it for awhile, i came up with a scheme that was the reverse
of whatever it was over. you have no idea how useful and precise this
proved to be. by "reverse" i mean over black it would be white, and so on.
it was transparent, so over text the text, reversed, would show through.
i looked for but never found anything that worked similarly in linux. alas,
i'm reaching that point where a mouse pointer, i-beam, etc., big enough to
see is too big to use with anything like precision. (i told you i'm old!)
so i am wondering if among the genuinely sharp minds here anyone can
imagine a recipe for turning an existing mouse pointer theme into
something like the setup i had in OS/2. this would involve finding the
actual theme images -- i'm not sure either as to the format or where they
live -- and editing them by replacing the colors with . . . what? if
anybody has and sense of this and passes it along, if i can make it happen
i'd happily offer the result for inclusion in future releases (or as an
add-on now, if anyone wants it).

Hello trinity users
I used Trinity to assemble ~700M paired-end reads using the following
command
"Trinity.pl --seqType fq --left left.fq --right right.fq --SS_lib_type FR
--output ./ --JM 300G --CPU 15"
The run was successful, and I got a list of contigs.
Now I realize that the data was not strand specific, and I am wondering how
does the adding of "--SS_lib_type FR" parameter affect the assembly.
Shall I redo the assembly?
