Kmail displays garbage

I have problems when answering emails sent from a Zimbra web interface. When I click "Reply" the new message contains garbage instead of quotation of original message. This happens only with some emails, probably the ones that were composed using HTML editor. Does anyone know how to fix this? Jan

Keyboard in Trinity and K*-trinity applications in LXDE

I am running: Trinity 3.5.13 updated with Slavek's patches Squeeze LXDE installed and used when essential I have just run aptitude update. There were no upgrades. There were 2 yesterday. My keyboard has disappeared in Trinity. There is obviously nothing wrong with the keyboard(s), both PS2 and USB, both of which I have tried, or the connection to the motherboard, since keyboards work in the BIOS, gdm and LXDE. This situation is made worse for me by the fact that k*-trinity applications, with the exception of Konqueror, will not run in LXDE. There is no KWrite, and I do not find Nano a long term acceptable substitute, and I can run neither KMail nor Amarok. Not only are these applications not in the menu, they will not run in the console, with error message "command not found". What have I done to upset Trinity?? And how do I persuade it to function for me again?? There is obviously a problem with my imported home. Other people for whom I have installed Trinity, but who had little or no previous data, have ridden off into the sunset. But what problem, where? Lisi

Can't be good. sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop-trinity does not work, pkg not found on the server

Hello something is definetely odd on my installation apt-get asked me to autoremove a lot of files, I said yes without thinking too much and my trinity control center disappeared. So I run sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop-trinity but I obtain Err http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity-v3.5.13/ubuntu/ lucid/main libkmime2-trinity 4:3.5.13-1ubuntu0+ax3~lucid 404 Not Found etc etc This looks very bad. Help! TDE Broken after last update

For the first time in years, something has gone wrong since adept_updater crashed. Matlab does not start, only as root.

Hello I just installed Kubuntu 10.04 on a different machine and then trinity. Everything went smooth, also my matlab installation went fine. Then I installed kscreensaver-kde3 (I am now on a different machine and don't have all the details) kscreensaver-xsavers-extra-kde3 kscreensaver-xsavers-kde3 and the trouble started, finally I had to do a sudo dpkg -i --force-all /var/cache/apt/archives/kscrensaver-Idont-the details.deb But the installation proceeded, but after that, I could only run matlab as root, otherwise I got a segmentation fault. When I use KDE4 Everything is fine. I repeated the matlab installation and the problem remains. Any idea? (Otherwise I have to reinstall the whole beast I am afraid) Thanks Uwe

Amarok question

Is there a way to extract information about currently played song from Amarok? I would like to create a plugin for tmux-powerline [1] that displays currently played song on the status bar. I know there were plugins for Kadu IM that changed users status to show current song, so this is possible. The question is can this be achieved from bash level or does it require a library call? Cervisia and Quanta

Hi, I am installing a box with Debian Squeeze and TDE because I need Quanta+. Lauching Quanta+ I see this message : "Cervisia [http://www.kde.org/apps/cervisia] - module de gestion de CVS ne sera pas disponible" saying that cervisia the cvs graphical module will not be available. In quanta+ when I click on the cervisia icon I see this message (it's a french installation) : Le module CVS Management (Cervisia) ne peut être chargé. Les raisons possibles sont : - CVS Management (Cervisia) n'est pas installé ; - le fichier trinity/libcervisiapart.la n'est pas installé ou pas accessible. Two option : or Cervisia is not intalled, or a file trinity/libcervisiapar.la is missing When I ask apt : # aptitude search cervisia i cervisia - graphical CVS client p cervisia-trinity - a graphical CVS front end for Trinity I see that cervisia is installed.
