After upgrading from lenny/kde3 to squeeze/trinity, I have some
graphical problems (mainly with kdm-trinity):
-directly after boot the backgroud is some crapy picture from the last
session
-when I do a logout only I sometimes have a black screen (which is
solvable by restarting the kdm-trinity from a remote host (switching to
local consols on tha machin won't work (alt+ctrl+FX)
useing a freshly installed/updated squeeze installation and the official
trinity repos for that
I have finally gotten to start on building Trinity 3.5.13 for Arch linux.
I have built the dependencies plus kdelibs and kdebase.
I have it successfully running on a new i686 arch install and so far so
good.
I am going to build the entire 3.5.13 release and want to make the
packages available along the the PKGBUILD scripts.
I would like to build for both i686 and x86_64.
Is there a place I can upload my work to so others running arch can
install it?
I'm trying to "pull" the git directory as an anonymous user with:
./scripts/switch_all_submodules_to_head_and_clean
For each submodule, it ask me for a password, three times
(submodule + admin + cmake).
That means doing "Enter" 378 times...
Is there a way to bypass this procedure?

Hello again.
I have managed to install my desktop environment, alongside with KDE4
and GNOME 3. Most of the desktop environment seems to work okay, except
for two major issues.
1. There is no shutdown option in the menu, despite the option to
provide shutdown options is enabled in the settings.
2. Upon highlighting the System and Preferences menus, the panel seems
to crash. After a first crash, it restarts. But after a second crash,
the panel does not seem to load anymore unless I re log.
Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks in advance!
I was about to find out the type of my videocard and startet Kinfocenter.
I get INfos in the main window (TDE version 3.5.13, user, linux/kernel,
and arch i386), but the left window is completly blank (the search also
returns nothing).
Do I miss a package, which is needed by kinfocenter?

Hello.
I have troble with opera open/save dialog: no matter what I'm doing opera go crashing just after dialog was closed.
I've removed kgtk-qt3-trinity (sure, dialogs became not-qt-styled), crashing stops. Google get me
http://www.trinitydesktop.org/irc/logs_current.html
-------------
>KingSphinx Not to mention Audacity seems to crash with kgtk-qt3 providing the open/save dialogs.
>kb9vqf KingSphinx: I think that crash is fixed in SVN
..
>kb9vqf KingSphinx: if you are using 3.5.12 then I would expect the crash to exist

I've no such problems on 3.5.12. Is this some kind of regression ? Does anybody also have the one ?
TDE 3.5.13, Ubuntu 11.10 (upgraded from 11.04 with 3.5.12 upgraded from 10.10 with 3.5.12).
Does anyone have a script they use to build kdeutils taht I can have a
look at ?
The how to build docs method
cd to whichever module you want to build, then run:
cp -Rp <path to your system's libtool.m4 file> admin/libtool.m4.in
cp -Rp <path to your system's ltmain.sh file> admin/ltmain.sh
make -f admin/Makefile.common
Doesn't work for me on arch
I am getting undefined references to things like QString and QWidget etc.
I beleve that those are defined in qt3 and tqt.
I added this
CFLAGS="-I/usr/include/tqt -I/usr/qt3/include"
CXXFLAGS="-I/usr/include/tqt -I/usr/qt3/include"
to configure.in.in and then ran make -f admin/Makefile.common, but it didn't help
I also have some linker issues but I'll tackle those after I get the code to build
Thanks
Trinity 3.5.13 on Centos 5.7
In LibreOffice, texts disappear in menus. It's possible to get them back by
unconfiguring anti-aliasing in kcontrol.
Somebody knows a better workaround ?

Hello everyone!
It's my first time using a mailing list.
Anyways. I am trying to install Trinity into my desktop computer, but I
seem to have a bit of a conflict issue, since I run KDE 4 on it too, and
don't want to uninstall this one.
I am trying to install using the kubuntu-desktop-trinity, but this
package wants me to remove certain components from KDE 4, and even *Sudo*.
The packages are these:
*sudo
kdelibs
kdelibs-data
kdelibs4c2a*
Like I mentioned, I run KDE 4, GNOME 3 and of course Unity, and *do not*
want to remove any of these.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
