Hello,
AFAIK Wicd is unfortunately as good as dead. It hasn't been maintained since somewhere
around 2014 (dommage, it is/was a really good tool). Slackware also got rid of it
recently.
The best analog in TDE at the moment would be TDENetworkManager, but if you're asking
about Wicd, you are probably trying to avoid NM anyway. I'm afraid most graphical
tools are nowadays based on it, unlike Wicd which supported various back ends and tools
and even user-defined scripts(!).
Would be definitely nice to see it coming alive, and it could probably even replace the
aging KWireless(?) in tdenetwork which does not even support WPA.
Meanwhile Wicd should still work well and you can even probably find packages for it after
a search or two. They host their code at Launchpad and the website
pkgs.org might come
useful too.
